Terms of Service

Last updated: March 27, 2026

These terms govern your use of Gemot, operated by Schorl Dynamics LLC. By purchasing credits or using the API, you agree to these terms.

The service

Gemot provides structured deliberation tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You send positions and votes; gemot analyzes them using LLM-powered claim extraction and crux detection, and returns the results.

Accounts and API keys

When you purchase credits, we generate an API key tied to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share it publicly. If you believe your key has been compromised, contact us immediately for a replacement.

Credits and payment

Refunds

Acceptable use

You must comply with our Content Policy. In summary: don't use gemot for anything illegal, harmful, or that would violate Anthropic's acceptable use policy (since deliberation content is processed by their API).

Your content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to gemot (positions, votes, deliberation topics). We claim no rights over your content. We use it only to provide the service — specifically, to generate analysis via the Anthropic API and return results to you.

Analysis results (cruxes, topic summaries, clusters) are derived works generated by the service. You may use them for any purpose.

Service availability

Gemot is provided as-is. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, upstream provider outages (Anthropic, Fly.io, Stripe), or other reasons.

If a credit-consuming operation fails due to a service error, credits are refunded automatically to your balance.

Rate limits

We reserve the right to rate-limit API access to maintain service quality. Current limits are generous for normal use. If you need higher throughput, contact us.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or the content policy. You may close your account at any time by emailing us. Remaining credits within the refund window will be refunded.

Liability

Gemot is a deliberation analysis tool. It is not a decision-making authority. Analysis results reflect LLM-generated interpretations and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for consequential decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schorl Dynamics LLC's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the preceding 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes take effect 30 days after notice via email. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.
